Are you looking for the best combination of engineering and lacrosse? Georgia Tech is a highly ranked and world renowned engineering institution, with highly competitive Science and Business programs as well. In addition, this is complemented by anationally ranked lacrosse program.
So what makes a Georgia Tech Yellow Jacket?
Applicants and enrollees at GT are future pioneers. They are individuals who want to step on to the world stage and create opportunities unlike no other. Georgia Tech is looking for that special person. This past year, admissions had over 30,000 applicants for around 2800 spots making Georgia Tech highly selective.
What does a GT Lacrosse applicant look like?
For the class of 2021 our incoming players had an average SAT score of 2150 (1450 CR/M) or 33 ACT with a GPA of around a 3.95 (unweighted) and an average of 10 AP classes. All were in the Top 10% of their class rankings.
There is no direct formula for admissions, it’s about standing out in all areas, even with your extracurricular activities and essays. While there is no formula, there is a baseline (see below)
Eligibility Guidelines for admissions
Admission is based on a competitive admission process. The middle 50th percentile of the 2014 Incoming Freshman class had a:
· Score on SAT 2 part 1390-1530/ACT 32-34
· Between 7 and 13 AP credits (97% had taken AP Calculus AB or higher)
· Overall GPA average is an A
